This is the first step in the Habitat for Humanity Homeownership process. What a big step!
The application must be complete and include all the required information for everyone in the household. This includes submitting your most recent income tax return and the last 30 days of check stubs for everyone that is employed.
HFHNEI has a minimum income, because the homeowner has to have enough income to support a mortgage. We also have a maximum income. If the family income exceeds the maximum, it is expected that this family can secure a traditional bank mortgage.
For example: For a family of four, the minimum income is $18,800 and the maximum income is $50,150.

CREDIT REPORT INFO FOR APPLICATION:
The application must also include a credit report from everyone over 18 in the household. This is a Habitat International requirement. Without a current credit report, Habitat is unable to review the application. We don’t look at credit scores, rather we look at payment history, and debt to income ratio.
